Automated External Defibrillation Courses
Automated External Defibrillation (AED) is recognised as a key part of the 'chain of survival' following cardiac arrest.
Coupled with effective CPR/BLS it is well documented as the only chance of converting the heart to an effective perfusing rhythm.
Recent medical evidence states that the chances of recieving a successful defibrillation decline at a rate of 7-10% with each minute. In areas with large groups of people or that are rural, having an AED on site may be the only realistic chance of survival following cardiac arrest. Basic life support may help to sustain a shockable rhythm but is not a definitive treatment.
Trident Medical offer a comprehensive Automated External Defibrillation (AED) course based on the recommended syllabus and containing lots of hands on practical time to build the confidence of students.
The course is 4 hours in length and is delivered by practicing healthcare professionals who actually use this equipment on a regular basis. We believe this makes the difference as students can draw on the experiences of their instructor. The training will be fun, informative and enjoyable.
Trident Medical can also assist companies with advice in areas such as protocols, equipment purchase choices and on-going support with training and development.
The training is based on the current Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines.
