First Aid Instructor Courses
The staff at Trident Medical have a long history of running First Aid Instructor Instructor courses thou
ghout the UK. These 5 day courses have been developed to give students the key development and confidence to train First Aid and Automated External Defibrillation (AED).The students, once qualified will be able to train HSE approved First Aid courses for appropriate companies. They will also be able to run AED and other First Aid course under their ‘own steam’ as it were.
As with all our courses, there is a combination of Theory and Practice, with plenty of support to build key confidence and teaching practice. In addition to in-depth knowledge, the students will participate in workshop type discussions with their tutor who will guide them through all the essential areas of learning.
Two key areas will be the focus of the week:
- In-depth first aid knowledge - to give confidence to ‘fly’ solo and run their own courses
- Teaching and assessing practice - to develop skills in teaching and assessing
Students will deliver some ‘mini’ training sessions in the course of the week. These will be assessed, and feedback and guidance given to help develop the instructor.
During the week, students will have the benefit of an experienced instructor, who generally will carry a minimum of Paramedic status. We feel this makes all the difference from other more expensive courses that are available. Our instructors for this course are not EX professionals.....they ARE practicing professionals who use these skills daily in the treatment of the ill and injured. This means a course where you can be sure the information is the latest available. We pride ourselves on giving you the best possible start to your career as a First Aid Instructor.
Cost
We regularly run these courses in Wiltshire. A place on this course costs £395 fully inclusive. This includes manuals, Instructors pack and certification. Your course fee also includes tea, coffee and lunch. Please contact us for more information and availability.
We can also run this course at your venue. The cost of this course is £2500 fully inclusive for up to 10 students. Additional students are charged at £175 per person. This includes manuals, Instructors pack and certification
