6 Hour Paediatric First Aid Course

This course is designed to meet the needs of Nannies wishing to join the Voluntary part of the Ofsted Childcare Register (OCR). It is also suitable for Au Pairs, Babysitters, Parents and anybody else who cares for children and needs a basic course.

This one day (6 hour) course is delivered at your venue, by one of our healthcare professionals, most of whom carry a minimum of paramedic status. This we believe makes all the difference as students will be able to draw on the real life experiences of their instructor over the course of the training.

The session wiill cover all necessary theory, will be highly
interactive and also includes lots of time for 'hands on'
practical which will build confidence in the skills being learnt.

The OCR course content includes:
- First Aid Priorities
- Basic Life Support-Child & Baby
- Choking
- The Unconscious Child
- Anaphylaxis
- Asthma
- Fractures
- Control of Bleeding
- Burns and Scalds
- Childhood illnesses
- Meningitis & Febrile Convulsions

There is no final clinical assessment on this course. Certification is based on continuous assessment by your instructor. Those delegates who complete the whole course, and are deemed to have reached the required standard, can be certificated for three years.

Cost
The cost for this course delivered at your venue, for a group of upto 12 students is £395 fully inclusive. This includes certification and a manual for each student and all other associated costs.
