Paediatric First Aid Course
12 Hour Paediatric First Aid Course
This course is designed to meet the needs of anybody working with younger children and that requires a first aid qualification that meets the standards laid out in the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This course also meets the needs of Ofsted.
Therefore it is suitable for Childminders, Nursery and School staff (dealing with Foundation Stage) and anybody who deals with children and wants a more in-depth course.
This two day (12 hour) course is delivered at your venue, by one of our healthcare professionals, most of whom carry a minimum of paramedic status. This we believe makes all the difference as students will be able to draw on the real life experiences of their instructor over the course of the training.
The session wiill cover all necessary theory, will be highly interactive and also includes lots of time for 'hands on' practical which will build confidence in the skills being learnt.
There is no final clinical examination or assessment on this course. Certification is based on continuous assessment by your instructor. Those delegates who complete the whole course, and are deemed to have reached the required standard, can be certificated for three years.

- Control of Bleeding & Shock
- Burns and Scalds
- Childhood illnesses
- Meningitis & Febrile Convulsions
- Eye & Ear Injuries
- First Aid Kits
- Keeping Records and Reporting Injuries
Cost
The cost for this course to be delivered at your venue, for a group of upto 14 students is £695 fully inclusive. This includes certification and a manual for each student and all other associated costs.
